Reut Aharonovitz

My name is Reut Aharonovitz.

I grew up on Moshav Gimzo in the Modiin area.

Following my fascination with clay, l moved North to further explore this passion and subsequently graduated at the Tel Hai Academy of Art in Ceeamic Design.

My studio is situated in Kibbutz Amir where I hold workshops and create.

Crystal glazing is my specialty , researching and developing glazes and the various methods of working with them especially using porcelain.

The glazes are fired gradually at 1280 degrees in a unique method which enables the crystals to develop.

Another realm of pottery that I enjoy is miniature ceramics  ..miniature  vessels and also miniature scenes blended into larger vessels.

I am proud to be one of the artists in the Cadim Gallery in downtown Jerusalem.
